Time and again it comes back to freedom. I think it’s all we ever want in this life. Freedom from the grown-ups who oppress us with their rules and ideas when we’re young; freedom from the world around us that is always telling us what we’re supposed to do and be as we get older. We chafe and rebel and leave, searching for more freedom. I’m not sure where it is or how we get it in this world. I suppose if you live totally off-grid and self-sufficient, maybe. Otherwise while we’re in this world we’re subject to someone’s rules of engagement, even if they’re implied and not spoken.
Had to digest and read this one a couple of times! We often comment on living in a world that has jumped back a couple of dimensions and de-evolved. Kinda like the Twilight Zone. Definitely a topic for conversation. But hope for positive change is still our driving force.
