Hi.
We’re calm before the storm again here today in Vermont. I kind of love hearing how the birds chime in when weather is shifting, seeing the early bits of wind moving the tree branches. I love the cloud formations and what they say, their movement across the sky. It’s so quiet here on this far end of a dead-end dirt road that you can really feel your connection to the larger world and I know that’s healthy. Many mornings when I open my eyes I see the bright orange, pink, red, and all variations in-between light rising over the hills. Right now I look a bit to the right of that and see the snow-covered ski trails on Magic Mountain, further swooping to the right and I see Stratton Mountain’s ski trails. Having grown up on boards, this feels comforting in its familiarity. My boys learned how to ski on Stratton and many of my happiest hours have been spent on Magic, briefly free of the constraints of gravity, bright hellos with the lift attendants. I have found the only greater happiness in my life than skiing is skiing with my kids.
I didn’t really come here this morning to talk about snow or skiing, but so often things tend in the direction they want to go and I like to be in the flow.
I wanted to just mention a few somethings I’ve been thinking about a lot lately.
You probably know I’m setting out on this new adventure of holding small gatherings/classes around ideas like energy management and psychic abilities and death + dying. To a degree I might say that I’m liberating God from church, although what I’m talking about has nothing to do with religion.
Religion took a universal concept: that we are all born of Light and Beauty and God-ness, and slapped a lot of rules and regulations on the situation, threw in a really uncomfortable seating configuration and worked very hard over the last two thousand years to get people to fall in line, to believe they are born in sin or some such nonsense. I can just see the early church fathers meeting in a dark room somewhere, wringing their hands and asking questions like, How do we get them to believe the way to God is through us? We have to keep them small and scared! More importantly, how do we get them to hand over their money?
Of course there are great churches doing really awesome things in the world. Like really great. Great church leaders out there every day walking the talk, in the trenches. Unfortunately there are also a LOT of bad, very bad people operating in the church construct. There are also a lot of really busy young families who can’t be bothered with the Sunday morning thing, there are a million reasons why people don’t go to church and even as a pastor I don’t care; none of it bothers me. If institutions are harming humans I say good riddance. Something new will rise from the rubble as has happened over and over in the history of humanity.
My curiosity and the things I’ve learned along the way propel me to endlessly peak around the corner. Seeing nothing there, I’m inspired to give some new things a try.
Thus, ‘classes.’
In some ways what I’m doing is bringing us back to basics, teaching some Truths, hoping to help humans find their way through the darkness.
At first I thought I would keep these really small and charge a fee, then I realized, well that’s really dumb, that means only some people will have access and that kind of defeats the purpose.
It’s a simple concept: if we each begin to trust the truth that we are born of a Beautiful Light and can and should do things (change a mindset/integrate simple practices) that allow us to live at a higher vibration, we are improving the conditions of our own lives and then naturally radiating that outward, improving the conditions of the world around us and the people we interact with. It’s a ripple/pond kind of thing.
The idea of God or Truth or Light or Creative Source, whatever you want to call it, is not a religious concept, it’s a human concept and the sooner we all understand that, the better off we will all be.
I know this reeks of humility, but it’s my goal to improve as many lives as I possibly can before I make my exit from life on Earth.
Each of us is an aspect of Divine Consciousness manifest at this moment in physical form. Each of us has an internal yearning to be free. Free from every fear that keeps us small and complacent. Further, psychic abilities are not mystical; they are not gifts bestowed upon a few.
This is the premise of my little gatherings called Wisdom School.
We are stardust, we are golden, billion-year-old carbon and we’ve got to get ourselves back to the garden.
This weekend, April 6, Saturday morning, we’re meeting in Saratoga, from 10-12 HERE. At a chocolate factory!!
On Saturday, April 20 from 10-12, in Peru, Vermont.
Free and open to all.

You. Always good with the words. I needed to hear your clarification on religion.
I would pop over to Saratoga for the class but it’s a bit far.
Keep on doing dearie.
