I live for today. I actually enjoy saving money and investing. Even at 78, I give myself permission to enjoy being in a good position and protecting my money.

They wrote a song about it:

“Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative”. But sadly, the news of the world makes it hard for some of us these days. I applaud your new direction!❤️‍🩹

The Buddha was big on this, too, Melissa. He said a thought was an action and could influence outcomes. Too, the Bhagavad Gita (which I actually quoted from for my Christmas Eve candlelight service) was big on thinking affecting outcomes. I'm personally not quite sold because it leaves too much room to blame victims for their lives not working out, which is what motivational speakers and prosperity gospel types do, but there must be a happy medium. Heaven for me is a place where there are no motivational speakers.
